Small run of 40x pea green C35 tapes inside vintage tough premo grade pinless clear plastic cassette cases. Thick off white textured cardstock inlay with random assortments of semi transparent /patterned torn fabric papers of various colours w/ text insert including tracklist. EP title scribbled in black marker on transparent handcut labels on A-side of the tape. Also an outer label on the spine of each cassette case w/ artist name and chem imbal catalog no.
This was given a special, sporadic unveiling of sorts with one or more getting a bit of the destruction treatment during Manning's set ... chaotic, manic, amazing live performance art @ Paddington Town Hall, Sydney. 12/11/17.

Very excited to be unleashing this brilliant release from Brisbane's Ross Manning [of Sky Needle fame]. It follows on from a string of top notch cassettes on Greedy Ventilator, More Mars + Vitrine as well as numerous records that he has self-released, or more recently via the Room 40 imprint.
'Both Sides of the Cocoon' is a 5 track tape EP that continues Ross's truly original, inventive approach to "making music" which is evident on this latest sonic venture of amazing, exploratory electro-acoustic soundscapes..
A great 30+ minute documentation that is easily some of his best work to date!
